Our local elected leaders have more impact on our lives, our families, and our communities than the president. We empower them to shape rules and policies, to uphold or to change systems, and to make decisions that affect each and every one of us.

That is why CEO has set out to raise $30,000 for our Legislative Action Fund, which will fuel efforts to elect local leaders both capable of and committed to advancing equity in our communities.

What will this look like?

  • Working together to re-elect those who are working tirelessly for positive changes;

  • backing powerful new players in the local political arena;

  • keeping voters informed and empowered;

  • fighting voter suppression in Michigan;

  • and offering direct support to battleground campaigns in the form of both service and financial contributions.

Specific races we are focused on in 2021-22 include:

  • the Farmington and Farmington Hills City Councils;

  • Farmington School Board;

  • Governor;

  • MI House of Representatives; and

  • the MI State Senate

We will continue to identify and support those who will bring about equity in all of our communities.

If we are to succeed in our fight against systemic, systematic racism and inequality then we must unite through grassroots efforts and invest in supporting and developing leaders who share these values. If we are to succeed, we need you!
